What is pest control?
Pest control is the regulation, management, or removal of rodents, insects, and any other animal identified as a pest. By removing pests from an environment, we prevent potential damages to property.
How often do I need pest control?
The frequency of pest control depends on the location of your property. High-risk areas may require pest control every two months, or maybe more for extensive cases. If you live in a relatively pest-free area, pest management may be done just once a year.
Are my pets and children safe?
Our pest control methods are safe around humans and pets. However, because of cases of allergies and adverse reactions, we recommend that you remove your children and pets for two to three hours during the treatment or until the sprays have completely dried. We will advise on what to do with your children and pet depending on the treatment method we use.
Do I need to prepare for pest treatment?
We may ask you to prepare for treatment depending on whether we are working inside or outside your home. Since each case is different, we will let you know ahead of time. However, you can do simple tasks like moving the furniture, removing clutter from the kitchen, arranging the room, etc.
Do you have termite control? Which pest control methods do you use?
Yes, Pro Pest Control Canberra provides termite control. Our termite control management includes termite inspection and installing termite baiting stations and termite barriers. We install physical and chemical barriers and use Sentricon, Exterra, and Trelona bait stations. We are also an accredited Termidor applicator; hence, we use Termidor for pest control.
What is the difference between commercial and residential pest control?
We offer commercial pest control services to businesses that need to meet and pass rules and regulations set by the various government agencies like reporting services, audit compliance, and monitoring purposes. On the other hand, residential pest control is for homeowners that want to protect their property and environment.
Do you offer same-day services?
Yes, we do. We offer same-day services in case of emergencies that need immediate action. You can reach us 24/7 over the phone to schedule emergency service.
Can I use Termidor myself?
We don’t recommend that you use Termidor yourself. The $2 million assurance warranty only applies to an accredited applicator like us.
What if I continue to see pest problems after the treatment?
This could mean that your home requires a couple of more treatments. It sometimes takes more than one treatment to fully eradicate pests. If you continue seeing the same or different types of pests after our visit, feel free to contact us for a revisit.
Can pests trigger asthma in children?
Yes, certain pests are known to trigger allergies or cause children to develop asthma. Decomposing bodies, droppings, and saliva contain allergens that trigger allergies and worsen asthma attacks.
How long does it take to see results after the initial treatment?
Results will vary depending on the product used and treatment methods. Visible results could take hours, days, or weeks.
